I’m seeking and searching for God
Dear all who are seeking for God,
That unexplainable feeling you have is not foreign and it is not fake. What you’re seeking and searching for is real. It is in fact as real as reality can ever be. It is a good thing, the best thing to not have control of. Even though words seem deficient in explaining, it can surely be explained; better yet, it can be fulfilled. But you’re questioning how? The answer, read on.
I will start by saying to you that it is not by accident that you’re on this page and it is not by chance. It is not your will, your determination or your doing. It is the will of God. He hand-picked you. He saw your lack of satisfaction, and He saw your search for meaning. He considered the questions of your heart and the pondering of your mind. He led you here to help you find the thing that will bring answers to your contemplation, and fulfill that void and emptiness.
You are searching and seeking for God
What you are searching for is more real than you and I. What you are searching for is God. You’ve tried everything else but they all left you empty. Rightfully so because those things were not made to gratify the void and emptiness you’re experiencing. When you’re yearning for music you don’t play sounds of noise to satisfy that need. When you are hungry for chocolate you don’t eat steak to satisfy that hunger. You might be full at the end (filled space) but the desire and cravings are not met. When you are thirsty and you try to eat, your thirsts will not be quenched. You only filled up space; but are still dehydrated and needy. You have to get what satisfies the need. It is just the law of how things work.
It is the same when it comes to seeking God. Your inner man is seeking for God but we try to fill that hunger with anything other than God. We try entertainment, work and anything that can keep us occupied; money and other sentimental things, we even try people but they all seem to no avail. At times the void and emptiness seems to increase. That is because there is no way around it. The void for God can only be filled with God. A law is law, and it is not just in the physical world. “Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws that govern how things work in the spirit.” There are spiritual principles that are set in motion and it is impossible for them to be altered.
There is no formula in searching God.
God is a spirit being, and one of things that gets His attention is our heart. It’s pretty much the only thing we can bring to Him that is of value. Our heart is who we are. It reveals our desires and everything we do. Whether it is action or words, it is all rooted in our hearts. Heart and God is like the first-place medal and the first-place winner, they are intended and made for each other.
God didn’t give us a formula in searching Him. He just say, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. –Jeremiah 29:13. Searching for God is more like searching for love. You can never have the full knowledge or understanding of it through informational fact. It can’t be explained to you. You can’t read about it and expect to know it. You can only understand it through experience, which requires the heart.
The Pharisees tried to know Him by what is written about Him but Jesus respond, “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life” –John 5:39&40. So, if you are really searching for God, you just come as you are. He doesn’t look at your accolades, awards, degrees, medals and honor; admiration, accomplishments and success. He doesn’t look at your family name or your family tree. Your Genealogy means nothing to Him. It doesn’t matter what your tribe is or where you come from.
All He said is, you will seek Him and find Him when you seek Him with all your HEART. I am powerless in proving Him, it interests Him not for me to do so. All he commanded me to do is testify and you’ve just read my testimony. Even the addressing of this letter to you is a testimony of its own. Another thing I can do for you is pray. And let me do that right now.
Father God I lift this one up to you. Father honor his/her search. God respond for they’ve come this far to hear what you have to say. Just them reading this far attests to their searching heart for you, give them a knowledge I can’t give them through these words; a knowledge that is beyond words and any informational and factual understanding. Give them the better knowledge, the one that is from experience. I pray in Jesus name. Amen
You have your heart, now all you do is confess the truth in your heart, and this will be the beginning of an exciting life. It will be meaningful and purpose-filled. You will still go through some crap you go through, (probably more) but because now you are GUARANTEED to overcome them, you can go through it without losing joy. So, if you truly believe, you just tell Him you believe.
If you need help you can use this to express what’s inside. Just repeat it. God I’m a sinner and in need of a savior. I believe Jesus is the son of God. He died for me to take away all my sins. Now I make my sin known to you, save me and give me a life that has a meaning and purpose. Thank you for saving me. Amen!
You don’t have to leave it here; you can continue to talk to Him. There is no formula on this part either. Just be real with him, he knows you inside out. You can even tell Him how you feel right now, if you can explain it. I bless you and may God keep you. Feel free to leave comments and questions below. I will try to answer all that ones I know. Continue to check back so we can grow together. Peace!

We are created in His image and likeness; we are breathless without Him (Gen.2:7). In Him we find full expression of who we are, anything short of that is a life that is formless, dark and void (Gen. 1:2). God bless you for this article. May we all continually find a niche in His heart, which is our truest home.
