Is Destiny Discover Or Make?

A friend and I were talking about destiny the other day. We were discussing destiny, pertaining to whether it is already made or one makes it. I thought this would be a good topic to discus and get others view on. Because, I honestly believe that growth can sometimes come from disagreement.

When the thing you believe and deem as right is challenged, it forces you to ponder and review it; it also make you weight what the other person is saying. This in my opinion is a good ground for growth.

So what is your take on destiny? Do you think your destiny is already made and you are here to discover it, or do you believe you make your destiny by decisions you make and your everyday choice? Because as we were discussing the matter, both sides of the argument became seems to be right when were supported.

Explain why you believe one or the other. And some might even believe it is both ways. But why do you believe that?

I think, in Christ destiny is ‘Discover’ but outside of Him, it is ‘Make’. Rev 4:11 is backed up by Gen 1:26….. I believe God was having a good time and was hoping for us to have a blast too. The enemy took that privilege away from us. We became blind to the life we were meant to live. With redemption I believe was restoration of all that we lost in the fall. In Christ, we are working towards living the life we were meant to. Outside of Christ, there is no definition of that life and blindness is still the rule. Human nature seeks purpose. So, in Christ it is already defined for each of us, outside of Him, though defined, it is not seen or perceived. Romans 8:29-30. In John 13 Jesus shows us that we are to serve one another. In Ephesians 4, we see that we are given different ministries for the perfecting of the saints. God’s plan is to have us live that life he meant for us. Just the tit bits of what immediately came to mind when I saw your blog………..what were your thoughts and that of your friend?
