Abortion Costs

What determines abortion cost is the stage of pregnancy at which abortion is preformed. It is determine that earlier abortion is less complicate so it cost less. And later abortion has more complication so the cost is proportional to expected complication. In 1995, it was estimate that the cost of abortion was $200 to $400 for early abortion; and for late abortion, the cost is between $ 400. After the 16th week, however, the price jumps up $ 100 a week.

Another things that determines the cost of abortion is the procedure and clinic that provides the service. Surgical abortion seems to cost more, and a lot more after the certain time frame (later) do to more complication. Now first trimester procedures cost ranges from$ 500 to $ 1000. The second trimester cost range from $ 600 to $ 10,000 dollars. And some insurance plan covers this.

There are also some subsidies available for abortion costs. In 2001, Guttmacher Institute conducted a study to determine the average cost for abortion in the U.S. They determine that the average cost to be $468. This number has most likely increased due to inflation. But when subsidies were included, the average cost for abortion in the U.S drops to $372.

Adoption Costs

In compression, adoption and abortion cost are susbtantionally different. Though adoption has variety of facts that determines costs just like abortion, it is significantly more expansive that abortion. This is sad when you consider what each side is doing; almost twist when you think about it really. According to cost, it seems abortion is being rewarded while adoption is not.

Before the federal tax credit, average adoption cost in the U.S is between 25,000 to $35,000.
